Using My Chapters: Letters
My Chapters: Letters is for your own personal use. Please don’t copy, resell or reverse engineer it, or use it to break the law.
What My Chapters: Letters is and isn’t
My Chapters: Letters is a tool for writing keepsake letters and personal working notes. It isn’t an official record system, and it doesn’t replace your fostering service’s recording requirements, safeguarding procedures or professional advice. Please follow your agency’s policies on recording, photos and sharing.
Purchases
Your first four letters are free. Letters is available as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Carer Pro, which includes Letters, is a monthly or yearly subscription with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers.
Purchases are made through the App Store and can be restored on another device signed in to the same account. Refunds are handled by Apple under their own policies.
One-time purchases on the App Store can be shared with your family through Family Sharing.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings. If you cancel during a free trial, you won’t be charged.
Your data
Everything you put into My Chapters: Letters stays on your device, and we don’t keep a copy. That means we can’t recover it if your device is lost or reset, so please keep your device backed up.
Updates
We may update, change or stop My Chapters: Letters at any time, and we’ll try to give notice of anything big.
No guarantees
We work hard to make My Chapters: Letters good, but it’s provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses that come from using it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
Ownership
My Chapters: Letters, its design and its code belong to Powered By Thistle. Anything you create with it remains yours.
Apple’s terms
If you got My Chapters: Letters from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Changes and law
We may update these terms, and the date at the top will change when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
