Thistle Invoice privacy policy

The short version

Thistle Invoice doesn’t collect your personal data. Everything you put into it stays on your device, where we can’t see it. The only thing that leaves your device for us is an anonymous check that a purchase is valid.

What stays on your device

Thistle Invoice keeps your business details and logo, your clients, quotes, invoices and payments, and your settings on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, and there is no account or server copy. A backup copy is kept in the app’s private storage on your iPhone, which is included in your iPhone’s own backups. Backup files you export are saved wherever you choose.

What leaves your device

When you send a quote or invoice, it goes through the app you choose (Mail, WhatsApp, Messages and so on), under that app’s privacy policy. If you add a pay-by-card link, it’s printed on your invoices and any payment is handled by that provider.

Permissions

Thistle Invoice only asks for a permission when you use the feature that needs it, and you can change your mind in Settings.

Camera and Photos

To take or choose a photo of your business logo for your invoices. Only the picture you pick is used.

Contacts

If you add clients from your contacts, Apple’s contact picker shares only the people you choose. The app never sees your whole address book.

Notifications

If you turn on overdue reminders, they’re scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent from a server.

Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store, and we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to confirm that a purchase is valid. When you buy or restore, RevenueCat receives your purchase history for Thistle Invoice and an anonymous identifier created by the app. It isn’t linked to your name, email address or any account, and it isn’t used for advertising or to track you. What we don’t do

  • We don’t ask you to make an account.
  • We don’t use analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind.
  • We don’t show ads or use advertising identifiers.
  • We don’t sell or share your information.
  • We don’t send notifications from a server. Any you turn on are scheduled on your device.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you’re in control of it. Deleting Thistle Invoice removes everything it stored. There is nothing on our side to delete.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to improve Thistle Invoice, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.

Children

Thistle Invoice doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.
