SnagLine privacy policy

The short version

SnagLine doesn’t collect your personal data. Everything you put into it stays on your device, where we can’t see it. Purchases are handled by Apple, and no other company is involved.

What stays on your device

SnagLine keeps your sites, snags, photos and markup, floor plans, signatures, company details and logo, and report settings on your device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, and there is no account or server copy. Photos are saved at a reduced size to keep storage small. Reports and spreadsheets you make are saved only where you send or save them. Deleted sites and snags stay in Recently deleted for 30 days, then they are removed.

What leaves your device

If iCloud sync is on (Settings › Your data), your sites are stored in your own private iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit, so they appear on your other iPhone and iPad. We can’t see that data. Turn sync off and SnagLine keeps everything on this device only.

Permissions

SnagLine only asks for a permission when you use the feature that needs it, and you can change your mind in Settings.

Camera

To photograph snags. Photos are stored in SnagLine, not added to your photo library.

Photos

To add photos, logos, cover photos and floor plans you’ve already got. SnagLine only sees the ones you choose.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

If you speak a snag, your words are turned into text on your iPhone where it supports this; otherwise Apple’s speech service may process the audio under Apple’s privacy policy. Nothing is recorded or kept.

Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells the app on your device what you’ve bought. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details, and SnagLine doesn’t use any third-party purchase or analytics service.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t ask you to make an account.
  • We don’t use analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind.
  • We don’t show ads or use advertising identifiers.
  • We don’t sell or share your information.
  • We don’t send notifications.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you’re in control of it. Deleting SnagLine removes everything it stored. There is nothing on our side to delete.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to improve SnagLine, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.

Children

SnagLine doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.
